ICAR-CCARI organized a Field Day cum animal health camp and farmer’s interaction meet in the coastal disctirct of Sindhudurg

 

The ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa organized a Field Day cum Animal Health and infertility camp and Farmer’s Interaction Meet at Ghonsari Village in the coastal district of Sindhudurg, Maharashtra on 8th September, 2023. A team of scientists from the Institute interacted with total 46 farmers and Gram panchayat officials during a meeting convened at Ghonsari Gram panchayat. The Institute team also provided guidance on health, nutritional and reproductive management, breed improvement, cultivation of high yielding fodder varieties and shelter management of dairy animals. Veterinary medicines and extension folders on scientific livestock farming were also distributed during the programme. Scientists team also visited 6 dairy farms in the region wherein clinico-gynaecological exminations were performed and blood and other biological samples were collected from the dairy cattle for disease diagnosis and assessment of health and fertility status. Dr. Shirish D. Narnaware, Dr. Gokuldas P.P. and Dr. Amiya R. Sahu coordinated the programme.

 

 

 

    An orientation workshop on soft work ethics and etiquettes for project and contractual staff working in administrative building at ICAR CCARI was arranged in the Institute on 07th September 2023. All the project staff viz. RA, SRFs, JRFs, YP I, YP II, PAs, FAs and other contractual staff working in various sections in administrative building attended the workshop.

    The first ever of its kind, an orientation workshop for project staff, was aimed to make aware the working and freshly recruited young minds about soft work ethics and etiquettes to be inculcated whilst being in a professional environment.

    Dr. Manohara K.K., Sr. Scientist (GPB) and workshop coordinator briefed the very purpose of this workshop to promote professionalism and urged all participants to follow strong work ethics and etiquettes during their presence in the campus. Shri, Vinod Ubarhande, ACTO (Farm Supdt.), co-coordinator of the workshop conducted engaging session and presented various important points about work ethics and etiquettes one should invariably practice in their professional life to reach the heights of success in his / her life. He elaborated the benefits of various soft skills for endless progress in career to the young participants.

    Attendees expressed their satisfaction with the workshop, highlighting its practicality and relevance to their careers. Some participants shared their intentions to implement the newfound knowledge in their respective workplaces immediately.

    The Director, Dr. Parveen Kumar, while taking feedback about the workshop, stressed need of such kind of workshops periodically in the Institute for positive and productive workplace    atmosphere with regular practice of soft skills. He interacted with the all project and other contractual staff and appealed to wear a smile and greet people to feel the happiness and freshness at professional life.
