ICAR–Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-CCARI), Goa organized a Soil Health Campaign and Distribution of Agro Inputs under the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP) for Scheduled Caste (SC) farmers in Maharashtra. The programme was conducted in three locations: Jawar village, Palghar district on 2nd July 2025; Manor village, Palghar district on 4th July 2025; and Nandgaon village, Roha Taluka, Raigad district on 7th July 2025. During the campaign, SC farmers were sensitized on the importance of soil health management and adoption of improved agricultural practices. As part of the initiative, Phosphate Rich Organic Manure (PROM), Goa Bio-1 (biofertilizer), and Vegetable Seed Kits were distributed to the beneficiaries. A total of 42 SC farmers benefited from the programme across these three locations. The initiative aimed to improve crop productivity, promote organic farming practices, and enhance livelihood security among SC farming communities, demonstrating ICAR-CCARI Goa’s continued commitment to inclusive agricultural development through its outreach activities under SCSP.
