Distribution of grass cutter machines to farmers under SCSP programme

     Two grass cutter machines were distributed to 11 farmers (all men) from Betqui village of Goa under the ICAR-SCSP component programme at the Institute on 6 March 2025. In this distribution programme, Dr. Shirish D. Narnaware, Senior Scientist; Dr Shripad Bhat, Senior Scientist and Dr. Sreekanth G. B. Senior Scientist, were present. Shri Ashish Pitre, Senior Technical Assistant and Shri Jayesh Marshelkar, Skilled Support Staff, conducted the demonstration on the use of these machines. Hands-on demonstrations were conducted for the farmers. Farmers were sensitized about the benefits of mulching. These grass cutter machines will help the farmers carry out weeding and mulching, saving costs and labour involved in farm operations.
